About Me
The soul has no borders, but within it it holds the echo of every place it has loved and every culture that has shaped it.
I was born in Athens. I grew up, went abroad, came back and left again. My journey has taken me many times from Greece to Switzerland and Germany, and back. With each transition, I have experienced anew the uncertainty, the loss of the familiar, the need to adapt, but also the deep strength of inner identity. I studied German Literature and worked for years with adults and children. Through this role I realized that I had the need to listen and connect with people on a deeper level than the simple exchange of information.
This personal experience of constant movement and change shaped me and today constitutes an important part of my professional philosophy. I deeply understand the concept of identity and its loss, as well as the need to belong, when the environment and conditions seem difficult. As a mental health counselor, I accompany people who are in transition: immigrants, students abroad, people searching for themselves in foreign territory (geographical and/or existential).
I then studied Synthetic Counseling at Synthesis in Athens with a focus on Existential, Psychodynamic and Systemic Approaches and further trained in Parent Counseling. I combine theoretical knowledge with experiential understanding in order to offer the space, the relationship, the presence that the person needs to discover their own solutions. My motto is that therapy is the Art of Togetherness.
In my effort to utilize and convey my blend of cultures, educations and experiences, I make strong use of art (hence the brushes, canvas and colors), poetic nuance and nature. My work is based on the belief that even when everything around us changes, we can discover within ourselves a stable point of reference. And continue. With strength, with authenticity, with connection.
